Online Transportation Drivers in Jakarta will Get COVID-19 Vaccines

Jakarta Government collaborates with technology company that runs online transportation service to start COVID-19 vaccination for its driver partners.

In order to accelerate government's effort in realizing herd immunity

This vaccination targeted 39,379 driver partners who have Jakarta ID card to be vaccinated within April 29-July 7 period. In detail, Vaccination Phase 1 will be carried out on April 29-May 10 and May 20-June 7. While for Phase 2 start from May 27-June 7 and June 17-July 7.

Vaccination will be held using drive-thru method at JI Expo Kemayoran and West One City, Cengkareng, West Jakarta.

Jakarta Health Agency Head, Widyastuti conveyed, her side is targeted to vaccinate 1,500 drivers per day. In detail, 1,000 people at JI Expo Kemayoran and 500 people at West One City.

"Vaccination schedule can change according to logistic of existing vaccines, so it could be faster. Besides, operator will prepare additional vaccination sites which is planned in Kemang," she informed, Friday (4/30).

She appreciated collaboration between Jakarta Government, Gojek, Halodoc, PPK Kemayoran, and Hermina in vaccinating around 39,379 Gojek's driver partners. Vaccination is important because Gojek is included in public service sector which also supports the integrated transportation in Jakarta.

"Based on government's target for Vaccination Phase II towards public workers, Jakarta Health Agency is pleased to be working with Gojek which can give vaccination to 39,379 driver partners in order to accelerate government's effort in realizing herd immunity," she explained.   

She assessed that COVID-19 pandemic is a difficult time for Indonesian people, especially Jakartans. Thus it needs solid cooperation between government and all communities, including enterprises, to work together in helping people out of this difficult time.

"By implementing mass vaccination, herd immunity can be achieved. We hope this pandemic will end soon and Jakarta residents can do their daily activities in healthy, safe, and comfortable manner," she said.

For information, here is the vaccination flow for online transport driver partners:

1. Driver partner will receive notification about vaccination schedule in GoPartner application

2. Partner should present at the vaccination site according to schedule and show ID number

3. Registration on P-Care system will be carried out by field officers

4. Health screening

5. Vaccination
